... Read moreI recently stayed at TROVE Hotel JB for a quick getaway, and I was pleasantly surprised by the experience. Booking through Booking.com, we secured a stay for about $80 per night with breakfast, although early bookings can get you rooms at $50-60, which is a fantastic deal given the quality.
The hotel sits conveniently just about a 20-minute drive from Mt Austin, making it an excellent choice for those visiting aesthetic clinics or enjoying that area. Despite being affordable, the hotel features comfortable beds and pillows, which I found to be very restful – my friend even called the concierge to ask about the pillows because she was so impressed. The rooms were clean, and although the bathroom could be rated slightly lower for cleanliness, it was still acceptable.
One small tip for guests: the water might be unexpectedly hot, so caution is advised when using the shower. Interestingly, instead of a kettle, there’s a filtered water dispenser, which I found to be quite handy. For additional convenience, a mini-mart located on the ground floor operates until midnight, which is perfect for late-night snacks or any last-minute needs.
I noticed quite a few Singaporeans frequenting the hotel, which speaks well to its reputation among travelers across the causeway. The location is ideal for short escapes, and overall, the value for money is unmatched—comparable or even better than some pricier hotels like First World Hotel in nearby Genting.
If you’re planning a short stay in JB looking for comfort without breaking the bank, TROVE Hotel is an excellent option. The combination of affordable pricing, good location, and thoughtful amenities makes it a highly recommendable spot for your next short getaway.
But soundproof is lousy🥺
