dinner date @ casa cicheti 🍝

checking off another place on my list to go to!!! 🤤

brought the boyfie for a quick dinz on nye and tbh, we were q satisfied with this meal hehehe so here’s our ratings~

🥩 carpaccio: ⭐️⭐️⭐️/⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

- honestly not bad, but nothing really special. the cheese, arugula & sunchoke chips went really well together with the beef. was a good appetiser to start with!!

🐚 linguine alla vongole: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

- THIS WAS GOOD!!! a must-get 😋 every bite was vvvvv flavourful HAHA and the clams were so fresh, plump and juicy. the linguine was cooked PERFECTLY too!!! still thinking about it even after we left the place with our tums full.

🦐 capellini: ⭐️⭐️⭐️/⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

- worth a try but nothing special… again… LOL HAHAHAH. HOWEVERRRRR!!! you can taste the prawn in the sauce with each bite, and the prawn was fresh and the crunchy kind!!! not too bad but probably won’t order it again when we re-visit!

🍰 classic tiramisu: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

- defo another must-get!!! yknow how at some places, when you have too many bites, you’ll feel jelak? this tiramisu is different!!! i think i can eat the entire thing and not feel jelak HAHA 🤤 if you prefer more kahlua in your tiramisu, this is for you!!!

🍰 pistachio lava cake: ⭐️⭐️/⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

- was honestly looking forward to this a lot but quite disappointed when we cut open the cake… the molten chocolate inside the cake kinda overpowered the pistachio, so we barely tasted any pistachio 😢 but the vanilla gelato was alright though!

overall (food + ambience + service): ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

will definitely revisit to try other items on the menu heheh. but this is a really homely and cozy place for a night with good food!

... Read moreFor those seeking a romantic dinner spot in Dallas or elsewhere, the key is to find a place that combines great food with a warm atmosphere. Casa Cicheti offers just that—a cozy setting perfect for an intimate evening. One insider tip: try plugging into the wine list while you savor dishes like the linguine alla vongole, as a complementary glass can elevate the experience. And don't hesitate to ask for recommendations from the staff; they often suggest seasonal specials or hidden gems that aren't immediately obvious from the menu. While the pistachio lava cake here didn't quite hit the mark for me, the classic tiramisu with its balanced kahlua richness makes for a delightful finish to your meal. This balanced sweetness is something to look for in desserts at romantic dinners—it leaves you satisfied without feeling too heavy. If you plan your visit on special occasions like New Year's Eve, consider arriving early to snag a cozy counter seat, which adds a charming touch to your dinner date. Overall, Casa Cicheti is a great find for couples wanting a memorable dining experience away from the usual crowds, with dishes that invite conversation and sharing. Give it a try for your next romantic night out!

My friends and I had a lovely 3-course lunch set menu at Forma when we were exploring Joo Chiat one weekend. Came with one appetiser, one main and one dessert each. Being a collaboration between local pasta artisan Ben Fatto (Lee Yum Hwa) and The Cicheti Group, their pastas were al dente and t
