Lemon8 is soooo toxic now 😒

Idk what happened, and who let all these negative people in, but Lemon8 used to be such a peaceful app. Lowkey reminded me of another Pinterest. But now it’s just full of rage baiters, bullies, and hateful bitter people with their hateful bitter posts 😭 people making posts just for the sake of arguing, then being rude to everyone who disagrees with them. Lowkey thinking about deleting it #toxicapp #lemon8istoxic

... Read moreThe recent frustration expressed by users on Lemon8 highlights a growing concern about the platform’s changing environment. Once regarded as a serene space akin to Pinterest, the app is now being perceived as a battleground of conflicting opinions and aggressive interactions. Many users have voiced feeling overwhelmed by negativity and bullying, leading to thoughts of abandoning the platform altogether. This distressing trend can stem from several factors. The rise of online platforms often facilitates negative behavior, as individuals hide behind the anonymity of the internet. As discussions become polarized, more users may engage in toxic interactions, often prioritizing confrontation over constructive dialogue. Moreover, algorithmic changes and content visibility can exacerbate these issues. When heated posts gain traction, they attract further vitriol, creating a cycle of negativity that can overshadow the community's original intent. Users yearning for a return to a positive atmosphere can benefit from actively curating their feeds, unfollowing negative accounts, and focusing on uplifting content. Engaging in discussions that promote kindness and understanding may help revitalize Lemon8’s community spirit, restoring it as a place of inspiration and support. The sentiment of leaving or changing platforms like Lemon8 reflects broader conversations about online spaces and user well-being in digital communities. Ultimately, it's up to collective user behavior to influence the future trajectory of mindsets within these apps.

I was just actually thinking the same thing! I downloaded it a few months ago and loved its vibe, i forgot about it for awhile until I was trying to find something to make for dinner! I was like what happened to this app? 🤦🏼‍♀️

Lemon8 Icks
Personally my biggest ick with lemon8 is that there’s a lot of “influencers” and ugc promoters coming from Insta and TikTok complaining that they aren’t getting enough followers or engagement when their posts are either trying to get people to spend money or compliment fishing. This isn’t an app

🧪 Is lemon8 too toxic for artists?
💾 I had a post by @J. White sitting in my saved folder for a while, because I really liked their highlighter art, and wanted to copy their idea and draw with highlighters myself! 🥲 But when I check back on their profile to finally start drawing, I see that they just posted about leaving the p

Why is Lemon8 such a toxic community?
💖 I’m sorry but I can’t be the only one who thinks so! Don’t get me wrong, I love Lemon8 and find it more useful than Pinterest imo. But the constant arguing and fighting that goes on in the comment sections are upsetting. If you see something that you don’t like, scroll past it. Pretty simple.

Lemon8 becoming toxic?🤔
Y’all, I use to be so excited to get on this app all of the time, but recently every time I got on I have seen so many posts that look interesting and half of the comments are rude and negative. I thought most of us on this app supported each other? This use to be my most favorite app to come visit

I found this on Lemon8 and it disgusted me. So let's talk about it...
Some people don't know that protecting you peace isn't self centered or narcissistic. I do not blame them for that. Mental health is so important. I cannot stress this enough. Protecting your peace is like protecting your soul, or body. Now I am not saying it's okay to be selfish. Not c
