It took me a minute to realize this but those small nudges I feel in moments where I feel stuck and depressed is usually Him. To me it’s never felt like this overwhelming clear instruction. It’s always felt like the thought to just get up for a second. Or to go sit outside instead of staying in my head. I used to ignore those moments because they just always felt too small to matter.. I’m starting to notice those happen to be the exact moments that start to shift something in me. Because it’s never felt like this force or pressure to get up and move. It’s always felt like this gentle pull guiding me slightly forward, that doesn’t push me from behind. And I think that’s how you know, it doesn’t have this shame that’s attached to “you should’ve done this already” It just feels more like an invitation. And every time I respond to it even in the smallest way, It helps me more than I expect it to and it gets me out of that loop, even just a little. Maybe that’s the point.. He’s not trying to overwhelm you out of it, He’s trying to walk you and me out of it In ways our minds can actually handle.
