favorite study spots on my college campus

I need to get out of my dorm room to study so here are a few places I go to lock in on campus. The library is always a good option, we have three floors that get quieter as you move up so I can decide what floor I am feeling that day. If I want a coffee while I study I always go to our campus cafe and set up there. And when the weather is nice I will head outside to lock in! #lemon8partner #lemom8college #study #

... Read moreOkay, let's be real – college life isn't just about finding the perfect study spot; it's also about navigating those inevitable waiting times! You know, those moments when you're stuck in line for 5+ minutes, feeling like you're losing precious study time. For me, that spot is almost always the campus cafe, specifically our Argo Tea. Seriously, the line for a matcha latte or a quick lunch wrap at Argo Tea can get pretty epic, especially between classes or right before a big exam period. Everyone's rushing for that caffeine fix or a quick bite. You're waiting, looking around, probably scrolling through your phone, and suddenly five minutes turn into ten. What are we waiting for? Delicious, much-needed fuel, usually! But I've learned to turn these waiting moments into mini-productivity sessions. Instead of just mindlessly scrolling, I now use that time strategically. I'll quickly pull out my phone and review flashcards on an app, or check my planner to confirm my to-do list for the afternoon. Sometimes, I'll just open up a PDF of my lecture notes for a quick skim. It’s amazing how much you can absorb in just a few minutes if you’re intentional about it. And it's not just Argo Tea. Think about the printer queue in the Quinn Library – another classic waiting spot. Instead of just standing there, I'll organize my physical notes or mentally prepare for the next task. Or waiting for advising appointments, which can sometimes run a little behind. I always try to bring a small, lightweight textbook or a short article to read during those moments. These aren't your typical 'study spots' like the quiet corners of the Law Library or the focused environment of your dorm room, but they are places where you can snatch back some valuable time. It’s all about being prepared. I keep a digital copy of my most urgent readings on my phone or a small notebook and pen in my bag for jotting down ideas. It really makes a difference. Those scattered 5-10 minute chunks throughout the day, when added up, can amount to a solid hour of extra, low-pressure review. It lessens the feeling of wasted time and actually contributes to my overall productivity. So next time you're stuck in a queue for your favorite Argo Tea drink, try turning that wait into a small win for your studies!
