College Winter Traditions

The past two years at college my friends and I have created some winter traditions! We love to make our apartment as festive as possible by getting a little tree. Also we love to do secret Santa during finals week to bring a little holiday joy to tough times. Also we love exploring the city during winter time, like going to the Rockefeller tree and the Bryant Park Winter Village. And of course our yearly matching PJs and a Christmas card! #lemon8partner #lemon8college #winter #nyc

... Read moreWintertime at college is a magical season filled with traditions that bring friends closer and brighten the cold, stressful days. Creating a cozy atmosphere with festive decorations like a mini apartment tree instantly lifts the spirits and makes the space feel warm and inviting. One popular tradition is hosting a Secret Santa gift exchange during finals week, which adds a fun, heartfelt element to otherwise challenging days by giving everyone a chance to share joy and surprises. Exploring local winter attractions is another memorable way to embrace the season. Iconic spots like the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree and the Bryant Park Winter Village provide the perfect backdrop for festive outings. The Bryant Park Winter Village, in particular, is a renowned destination in NYC, known for its charming shops, holiday treats, and seasonal events. Wearing matching holiday PJs with friends to relax and take group photos for Christmas cards has also become a cherished tradition, capturing these joyful moments in a creative way. Incorporating these traditions into college life not only creates lasting memories but also fosters a sense of community and belonging. Whether it’s decorating together or sharing small gifts, these activities support mental well-being and promote cheer during the winter months. Embracing local events and personalizing traditions make winter at college uniquely special and can be tailored to any group’s preferences, enhancing the overall college experience during the holiday season.
