Finally, to protect your painted hat from the elements and everyday wear, a clear fabric sealant spray can be a great addition. It adds an extra layer of protection without altering the fabric's flexibility too much. Caring for your painted hat is simple. Hand washing in cold water with a mild detergent is usually best. Avoid harsh scrubbing on the painted areas. Air dry your hat by reshaping it and letting it sit. Tossing it in a washing machine or dryer might be too aggressive for your hand-painted design.
