this homebased business popped up on my ig feed, and i was immediately intrigued! i’m a big fan of chinese pastries, so i knew that i’d love these ;)
each shaobing is handmade from scratch, and freshly baked. they had a crisp golden-brown exterior with a glossy, sesame-studded finish. it was sooo flaky and easily crumbled in my hands 🙌 they really perfected the pastry recipe!!
regarding their 烧饼 flavours, there’s both sweet and savoury options. for the sweet flavours, i tried the kaya butter, black sesame butter and honey peanut butter 🧈
as a huge black sesame fan, the bsm butter one was my fav <3 the pastry was filled with a rich and creamy black sesame paste, that was bittersweet, and paired extremely well with the slab of salted butter 😋😋😋
out of the savoury variants, i tried their egg & meatball, egg & otah and egg & chicken floss. my fav was the egg & chicken floss one! the fluffy chicken floss lends a light, sweet-salty umami flavor, complemented by the soft and creamy egg. really gotta eat it while its hot 🤩
they also brew their own coffee, both kopitiam and western style ☕️ they have really unique beverages like red date latte, and soy teh o! all coffees are freshly grinded upon order, so u can be assured that you’ll get 💯 drinks :)
