hometeam ns khatib has been up and coming with so many new cafes and restaurants! there’s a new retro-inspired kopitiam cafe located at the ground floor, selling a variety of traditional delights ☕️🍞🍛
their mains include toast sets, nasi lemak and beehoon 😊 which are all classic singaporean dishes that everyone loves~ i tried their nasi lemak with curry chicken and chicken cutlet, as well as their beehoon with premium otah.
they use basmati rice in their nasi lemak, which had a vibrant green color (probably from the pandan). the rice was extremely fragrant, and i loved how well-separated the grains were.
the chicken cutlet was HUGE, fried to perfection (without being too oily), and there was a substantial amount of meat! really worth it imo
the curry chicken was another crowd favourite amongst my family 😋 the curry sauce was thick, rich and coconuty with tender pieces of chicken and potato. perfect to drizzle over your rice/beehoon.
other than mains, they even offer traditional ice cream!! you can choose to have it in a cup, wafer or bread ☺️ so nostalgic :)
overall, you can visit them after a bowling/karaoke session at hometeam ns!! since they’re located near khatib mrt, it’s super convenient too 😊
