Ya’ll if it’s one thing I’m going to do…it’s make a southern meal healthier! 🙌🏾

I literally crave this on a weekly basis. But to fit this in my daily lifestyle, I had to do some tweaking by turning this into a protein packed bowl💪🏾✨

My Omad (one meal a day) bowl has:

• 90g grits

• 150g cottage cheese (blended then added to warm grits)

• 8oz egg whites

• 3 turkey sausage links

• 1 slice American cheese

(730 calories, 69g protein)

Adding a slice of American cheese brings flavor and calcium, rounding out the meal. Creating a high-protein breakfast like this has been a game-changer in my daily routine, especially when following an OMAD (one meal a day) eating plan. This single meal provides sustained energy and fullness throughout the day, something many struggle with when limiting eating windows. What’s great about this bowl is its balance of macronutrients combined with classic Southern flavors, making healthy eating feel less like a sacrifice and more like an enjoyable tradition.
