私が行った日は「五反田でメロンパンが美味しいお店ないかな？」と探して、IKEDAYAMA Bread & Coffee（Bread and Coffee Ikedayama）に初訪問。結論、ベーカリーとカフェが一体になっているので、パン屋さん選びで迷ったときの“失敗しにくい一軒”だと思いました。 名物メロンパンは、売り場で一番目立つ場所に並んでいて、つい手が伸びます。外側はサクッとして香ばしく、中はふんわり。コーヒーと合わせると甘さがちょうどよく感じて、朝の一杯にすごく合いました。購入は1人3個までの制限があるので、手土産目的なら人数分で分けて買うのが安心です（人気の理由に納得）。 パン選びのコツは「惣菜パン→サンド→甘いパン」の順で見ていくこと。私は先に惣菜パンをチェックして、ブロッコリーやソーセージ、オリーブ系など“しょっぱめ”を確保してから、最後にメロンパンに戻りました。ランチ寄りならロースカツ＆たまごみたいなサンドが食べ応えあり、軽めなら惣菜パン＋カフェオレで十分満足できます。 店内はガラス越しに工房が見えて、焼き上げのタイミングが分かるのも良かったです。できたてに当たると香りが強くてテンション上がります。カフェスペースは一人でも入りやすい雰囲気ですが、12時前後は席が埋まりやすい印象。ゆっくりしたいなら9:00〜11:00あたりを狙うのが無難です。 ちなみに、検索で「イスズベーカリー メロンパン」を見かけて気になった人もいると思いますが、五反田で“メロンパン×コーヒー”の組み合わせを手軽に楽しみたいなら、ここはかなり候補に入るはず。次回は、惣菜パンをもう少し攻めてみようと思います。
