Hey beauties! So, we all love a good glam makeup look, right? But sometimes, it feels like a marathon to get that perfect, polished finish. I totally get it! While my recent tutorial focused on rocking those gorgeous turquoise and teal eyeshadows – a definite must-try summer trend, by the way! – I wanted to chat a bit more about what 'glam makeup' really means to me and how you can achieve your own stunning versions. For me, a 'full glam' makeup look isn't just about bold eyes or a striking lip; it's about creating a cohesive, elevated appearance that makes you feel confident and ready to conquer anything. It's often characterized by a flawless base, sculpted features, and a standout element, whether that's a dramatic eye or a perfectly defined pout. It’s about taking your look up a notch from your everyday routine. One of the biggest game-changers for any glam look, especially when you're going for those vibrant shades like from the P. Louise Wedding Wish XL Palette or If Looks Could Chill Palette, is your base. A smooth canvas is everything! I always start with a good primer to make sure my foundation looks seamless and lasts all day (or night!). And don't forget the power of color correcting if you have any areas you want to even out before foundation. For me, concealing under the eyes is crucial to brighten up the entire face. Next up, contour and highlight! These steps are key to adding dimension back to your face after applying foundation. I love using a cream contour for a more natural-looking sculpt, blending it out with a damp sponge. Then, a touch of highlighter on the high points of my face – cheekbones, brow bone, cupid's bow – really brings that radiant, 'lit-from-within' glow that screams glam. When I'm doing a bold eye like my teal and turquoise look, I often opt for a softer highlight to keep the focus on the eyes, but if I'm doing a more subtle eye, I might go for a blinding highlight! And speaking of eyes, while my tutorial dives deep into the specific steps for that amazing teal and turquoise full glam eyeshadow, remember the principles apply to any color! Blending is your best friend. As I mentioned in my steps, going back and touching up previous shades, like when I use the P. Louise base, is the secret to a seamless transition. And don't shy away from using those P. Louise paints, like 'Salty AF,' as a vibrant base to really make your chosen eyeshadow shades pop. The OCR also highlighted the importance of picking crease colors with a warm undertone when using warm-toned blues, which is a pro tip for making those colors harmonize beautifully. Finally, lips and brows! For a full glam look like the one with the vibrant teal eyes, I usually go for a neutral or nude lip to balance things out. But if my eyes are softer, a bold red or berry lip can be incredibly glamorous. And perfectly groomed brows frame the entire face, pulling the whole look together. Whether you fill them in softly or go for a more defined arch, well-done brows are non-negotiable for a polished glam finish. Achieving a glam makeup look doesn't have to be intimidating. It's all about experimentation and finding what makes you feel fabulous. Just like I discovered those 'Poop Launch Lashes' in 'Breeze' that complete my eye look, you'll find your perfect products and techniques.
