If you don't know how something works you can always ask
I'll take this opportunity to mention theect amazing changes I've experienced since I started a GLP-1 because there's lots of noise about how scary these meds can be:
* My A1C went from a diabetic range to a normal range in under a year
* My blood sugars have been much more stable and I wake up with under 100 mg/dL
* My PCOS symptoms have been alleviated
- Ex: improved insulin sensitivity
I feel a lifted mental weight when it comes to thinking about food (never realized how intense food noise was until it was gone)
* My general health has improved - still working on cholesterol
My hope is that we can leave the GLP-1 fear-mongering and shaming behind because these meds are incredibly helpful. If we had more access to GLP-1s as preventative care I think a lot of us could benefit from that (in terms of improved general and metabolic health).
PS: Yes, my body has changed, but it's not my measurement for success so I'm not sharing visual comparisons or weight loss updates.
