I counterscammed the scammer
Disclaimner: I knew this was a scam from the start, but I went along with it to try to get as much detail as I can to hopefully help others recognize this type of scam.
I got a call from a number from Florida. The person on the other end has an Indian accent and claimed that she's a DEA agent. She asked if I was expecting a package, which I said no, but she proceeded to tell me that this package from Mexico had been intercepted. Because of this, I'm now wanted for drvg tr@fficking.
She continued to provide more evidence proving that I was involvded in this. She read an address in Texas and said that this place had been broken into. Polices found fraudulent driver's license and documents with my name on it.
I was waiting for her to ask me for money but never did. I even started to ask her if I should pay her some to not arrest me, but she declined lol.
Anyways lucky for me I didn't get scammed. I think she sensed that I wasn't falling for it, but she has to hold the phone to complete her tast, so she had to finish reading the script.
The funniest part of this phone call is that in the background, I can hear other people with similar accents talking, and they were all saying the same thing.
