I got scammed in Facebook marketplace

I got a brand new computer through college for free with my financial aid. However, I already had my old one that was fully functional, so I decided to sell it. Many requesters came asking to buy it. I saw a promising response. They said they needed it as soon as possible, because she wanted as a gift for her nephew that has cancer. So I shipped it hoping to get paid later through ZELLE, not only did they not send me the money, but they Were asking for money themselves, to make a business account in Zelle. Then I realized. It was a scam. My new laptop was gone forever, in a random place in Florida. 😭

Update: I recognized it was my fault too, the government gave me “financial aid” to buy the computer and I decided to sell it to make a profit. As of right now, I only feel sad for having shipped it to her, because the shippiment cost me money. I am sorry U.S. taxpayers, I should have never intended to use your money for my gain. 😞
