First Book Review ✨🍋🥰

So, I must say, this is one of the spiciest books I’ve read to date. I love Kennedy’s writing style: I laughed, (almost) cried, and fell in love all in the same text.

Our FMC, Charlotte aka Charlie (the nickname is important, trust me) finds herself in an interesting three way situation with MMCs Will and Beckett. All three find themselves questioning what truly constitutes as “normal”, and whether living in their own truths is worth the scrutiny they are bound to face.

I gave it a 5 star rating because I’m a die hard rom-com girly and I think this would make for an amazing movie. It’s not mindless smut (which is what I think of many romances I’ve read). The themes discussed in this book are highly personal and relatable, and each character’s circumstances allow us to see the “why” in their personalities and choices.

For the sake of not being long-winded, check this book out. I can’t wait to read her other titles 🥰

... Read moreWhen I first saw the cover for 'The Charlie Method' by Elle Kennedy, I was immediately intrigued. The image perfectly captures the vibe: a woman, who I instantly pictured as our FMC, Charlie, looking effortlessly cool in a white t-shirt and ripped jeans against a vibrant pink building. And that pink tumbler? It just adds a fun, modern touch. As a New York Times Bestselling Author, Elle Kennedy always delivers, but the cover art for this one truly stood out to me. It hinted at a story that was going to be both stylish and a little rebellious, and it totally delivered on that promise. It's the kind of cover that makes you pick up the book and wonder what kind of exciting journey Charlie is about to embark on. Now, let's talk about the heart of 'The Charlie Method' – the truly captivating and unconventional romance. If you're searching for a novel where the protagonist navigates a multi-faceted love story, this book absolutely delivers. Charlie finds herself in an unexpected three-way situation with Will and Beckett, and what I loved most is how authentically Elle Kennedy explores this dynamic. It’s not just a plot device; it’s a deep dive into questioning societal norms, personal boundaries, and what true love and connection look like. Each character's perspective is given so much depth, allowing you to understand the complexities and emotions involved. It felt incredibly real and refreshing to read about characters who are genuinely trying to figure out their truths, rather than just conforming. What truly sets this book apart for me is the emotional intelligence woven into the narrative. Beyond the 'spicy' elements, which are definitely there and well-done, the story delves into themes of self-acceptance, communication, and finding your own version of happiness. I found myself rooting for Charlie, Will, and Beckett as they navigated their unique path. The internal and external challenges they face are so relatable, making you reflect on your own ideas of relationships and commitments. It's a testament to Kennedy's writing that she can tackle such a sensitive and often misunderstood topic with such grace and genuine warmth, making you fall in love with all three of them. If you’re a fan of romance that pushes boundaries, offers genuine character growth, and isn't afraid to explore different facets of love, then 'The Charlie Method' is an absolute must-read. It’s more than just a rom-com; it’s a story about embracing who you are and finding connection in unexpected places. I’ve read a lot of romance, and this one truly stands out for its unique premise and heartfelt execution. It left me with so much to think about, and honestly, wishing I could spend more time with these characters. Don't miss out on this incredible journey if you're looking for something fresh, engaging, and deeply emotional in your next book.
