A tiny universe, made by hand
A handmade universe orb that looks different every time you turn it.
The swirls, light, and depth are all formed in flame, so no two ever come out exactly the same. It works as desk decor, a meaningful gift, or just a small piece you keep because it feels impossible to stop looking at.
What does this one look like to you first — a galaxy, a burning core, or something else?

You know, sometimes a piece just clicks into place, and you know you've created something truly special. I remember the exact moment this particular display orb finally came out of the flame. There was this hush in the workshop, the whole room literally went quiet for a moment. It felt like I'd somehow managed to capture a tiny, swirling galaxy, a complete universe, right there in my hands. The customer in the UK had this very precise request – they wanted a 'big halo' and an 'ultra-clear depth' that made you feel like you could fall into it. That challenge really pushed me to experiment, to combine different techniques to achieve that ethereal glow and profound visual space. It's funny, sometimes people ask if these are natural stones or crystals, perhaps even something as unique as a pom pom quartz with its distinctive inclusions, because of the incredible depth and intricate patterns they exhibit. But no, each one is meticulously crafted by hand, shaped by fire and intention, which I believe imbues them with a different kind of magic, a human touch that natural formations, while beautiful, don't possess. The process itself is a true journey of patience and skill. Achieving those mesmerizing swirls and that incredible, almost impossible depth isn't just about heat and glass; it’s about feeling the material, understanding how it moves and flows under extreme temperatures, and then carefully guiding the light within it to create those internal structures. For this specific display orb, it took me a good 12 days of focused work, from the initial concept sketches and material preparation to the delicate shaping in the flame and the slow, controlled cooling process. Every single one truly becomes a unique universe because the flame has its own unpredictable dance, and no two pieces ever form exactly alike. That's what makes them so incredibly special – you're not just acquiring an object; you're getting a singular moment captured in glass, a one-of-a-kind miniature cosmos that exists nowhere else. I've always been profoundly fascinated by how light plays within transparent objects, creating illusions of distance, vastness, and uncharted space. With these universe orbs, my aim is always to spark wonder, to create something that makes you pause, look closer, and ask, 'What is that?' Is it a distant nebula, millions of light-years away? A cosmic eye watching over us? Or perhaps a burning core of a newborn star? Everyone sees something different, and that subjective interpretation is a huge part of the joy these orbs bring. They're perfect as a captivating conversation starter on a desk, bringing a calm, reflective energy to any workspace, or as a truly unforgettable, meaningful gift for someone special. Imagine giving someone a piece of the universe, crafted just for them. There’s something so profoundly captivating about peering into these tiny worlds; it genuinely feels impossible to stop looking at them once you start. It’s more than just decor; it’s a piece of art that invites contemplation, sparks imagination, and brings a little bit of the infinite into your everyday.
