Quick tip for The Hillbilly in Dead By Daylight!
Quick tip for The Hillbilly in Dead By Daylight! #deadbydaylight #dbd
Hey fellow DBD killers! I wanted to share some thoughts on mastering The Hillbilly, especially since a lot of you are asking for guides and how-to-play tips. He's a classic for a reason, and while his chainsaw can be tricky, once you get it down, he's a powerhouse. First off, about that quick tip I mentioned: Barbecue & Chili is an absolute game-changer for Hillbilly, and honestly, it's one of my must-have perks. Why? Because after you hook a survivor, those precious 5 seconds of aura reading (for anyone beyond 40 meters) are invaluable. With Hillbilly's incredible map mobility thanks to his chainsaw sprint, you can instantly see where the next chase needs to begin. No more wasting time looking around! You hook, you see, you rev up that chainsaw, and you're off to get back into chase immediately. This pressure is what makes Hillbilly so terrifying. Survivors can't just heal up safely when you're constantly on top of them. Beyond Barbecue & Chili, let's talk about general gameplay. The chainsaw is your bread and butter. Don't be afraid to use it for both mobility and downs. Many new Hillbilly players only try to curve or hit fancy shots, but straight-lining across the map to intercept survivors or quickly cover ground is just as effective. Practice your turns in custom games – learning to feather the rev and make slight adjustments is key. It’s all about maintaining map presence. Another perk I often pair with Barbecue & Chili, especially when I'm focusing on map pressure, is Lightborn or Enduring/Spirit Fury. Lightborn can be great against flashlight-wielding survivors who try to blind you during your chainsaw sprint or picks, letting you keep that momentum. Enduring and Spirit Fury are fantastic for managing pallet stuns, allowing you to quickly break through loops without losing too much time. You want to keep moving! When it comes to add-ons, I usually lean towards ones that improve turning or charge time. The Carburetor Tuning Guide (common) and Thompson's Mix (uncommon) are great for beginners as they make the chainsaw more forgiving. As you get better, consider using add-ons like Engravings to increase sprint speed or duration, making those cross-map snipes even more potent. Remember, Hillbilly is all about applying constant pressure. Don't tunnel, but don't let survivors breathe either. Use your chainsaw to quickly down injured survivors, travel across the map to interrupt generators, and surprise unsuspecting victims. It takes practice, but the satisfaction of a perfectly executed chainsaw sprint is unmatched! Hope these expanded tips help you dominate the fog!
