Craziest HR Leaked Our Interview?!

I couldn’t find justice for this because this whole thing is just too ridiculous.
Back in 2023, I had an interview with this Taiwan company, which honestly felt quite sus. I had just been retrenched because my previous company closed down. I already had a trip planned, and I was feeling quite depressed, so I was desperately trying to secure a new job ASAP to fund my very pathetic savings.
Here’s the backstory. I was not informed that the entire interview would be recorded. On top of that, the interviewer asked strange and very personal questions like how many siblings I have and what my zodiac sign is. It was honestly so cringe that I cannot even bring myself to rewatch the whole video now, so I do not remember what else he asked exactly.
The craziest part was that he uploaded the full interview video publicly on the same day. I was not even employed by the company.
Fast forward to today, one fine day my colleague told me he saw this video when he searched my name online. I was extremely bamboozled. I thought he was joking but it turned out to be real.
So I quickly tried to find this guy’s contact to get it settled. Thankfully my friend still remembered his Telegram because we worked at the same place before, so I managed to track back our old conversation.
What you see in the screenshot is exactly what happened. He was not even sorry about it and acted like it was not urgent. He kept saying it was my “concern”. I was like, what do you mean it is my concern? He uploaded the full interview with my face and personal details publicly when I was not even hired at that time!
In the end, I had to settle it myself directly with the platform where the video was uploaded. He did not even try to help at all. Other than ‘forwarded MY CONCERN’ to the other useless TW hr. (Who end up did not provide any help at all)
I really could not find justice for this, so I am sharing this here. Please be careful when you are job hunting. Do not let desperation put you in this kind of situation like I did. Also, please be careful with this hr, previously he is based in Philippine but hearing from his accent he sounds Malaysian to me. He has good understanding of Singapore as well. So please be aware of this HR called Wallace if he happens to be based in PH or something.

Also, if you ever find yourself in a position where sensitive information or videos of you are published without your approval, act quickly. Reach out to the person responsible and the hosting platform to request removal. Document your communications as evidence, especially if legal steps become necessary. Online reputation matters more than ever, and a careless HR’s actions can severely impact your job prospects. Don’t hesitate to report such incidents to relevant authorities or data protection agencies, especially when personal data is shared without consent. Protecting your digital footprint is part of navigating today’s job market. Lastly, discussing experiences like these openly helps create awareness and urges companies to adopt ethical hiring practices.
