Filiplaka Beach Milos - what you need to know
*Getting There - IMO I think hiring a car or ATV is best- yes you can catch a bus from Adamas but the bus stop is a fair walk (15-20 mins) down & then back up a steep hill and remember, it’s hot.
*Parking - it’s roadside parking only, often super tight spots, it’s all sand & dirt tracks, arrive early to snag a spot before it fills up.
*Wear shoes you can actually walk in - trust me! There’s multiple treks down to the beach, all are sandy & rocky.
*Pack light - whatever you carry down, you carry back up
* Bring water - there’s only one place to buy drinks and it sold out of water when i was there
* It gets super hot & there’s minimal shade - there’s only a few beach beds (and they have shade) they go fast, aside from them, there really isn’t anywhere to get respite from
the sun. So think hat, suncream, umbrella ☀️
*Timing - if you can go early, do. Better parking & chances of getting a sun-bed if you want one
* It’s 100% worth it - this is a fav of mine, one of the most beautiful beaches on Milos - the water is sublime, the beautiful rocky cliffs are stunning; it’s exactly what you picture when you think of Greek island beaches. I travelled here solo and would totally recommend #greece #milos #travel #solotravel #over50 Milos
