We tried JB's BEST BAGEL at SKS MALL??!
Palates & Bagels has already built a name for itself with its aesthetic cafés and bagels with Thai and Asian-inspired twists. Now they’ve opened at the new SKS mall in JB, and naturally, the question is whether this outlet holds up to the expectations set by their other branches.

🥯BEEF BRISKET BAGEL - 4.5/5 🍴
Heavy, smoky, and very filling. The brisket was tender, juicy, and spicy, so watch out for non-spice takers. The hashbrowns, cheese, and pickled chilli made it feel even more intense. The pineapple cream cheese was the unexpected part that really pulled it together. Sweet, creamy, and surprisingly good with the smoky brisket.
💲PRICE VALUE - 4/5 🍴
Pretty worth it for Singaporeans, classic bagels sit around the 10–15RM and their bagel sandwiches range from 30-40RM. That said, this can be a relatively budget-friendly stop considering the bagel sandwich cones with fries on the side and many promotions are available for the bagels in store.
👫AMBIENCE - 4.5/5 🍴
New outlet, aesthetic vibe. Calm, good lighting, and very aware of its angles. If you liked the look of their other branches, this one is staying on brand.
📋MENU SELECTION - 5/5 🍴
One of the strongest parts of the experience. There are plenty of interesting bagel options, and you can even build your own. Definitely the kind of menu where you’ll want to take your time before deciding.

It's a flavor pairing that surprises your palate in the best way. Be prepared for a moderate wait—around 20 minutes—is normal as the food is made fresh, so visiting during less busy hours might save you some time. Also, don’t hesitate to ask the staff to slice your bagel for you; it helps avoid the mess and makes eating more convenient, especially if you're on the go. Lastly, take advantage of current promotions and combo deals they offer, as they can provide great value for money, especially if you want to try multiple bagels or bring friends along. The outlet’s interior is modern, clean, and photo-friendly, perfect for those who enjoy dining in a comfy, aesthetic environment.
