📚September 2025 Reading Wrap-Up📚

Total Books: 15

eARCs: 4

Five weeks ago, I had my gallbladder removed, and I am still in the process of recovering and adapting to life without it. My gallbladder was not functioning, which led to its removal. I have found that regular walking aids my recovery, and eating a whole foods diet supports my digestion. I’m just looking forward to being able to hit the gym and start my strength training again. It’s been too long, and I miss it.

Reading has aided my recovery, too, and I finished fifteen books in September. I read four eARCs and spent the rest of the month rereading old favorites, focusing on my physical books, or borrowing from the Library via Libby, Kindle Unlimited, or Kobo Plus.

My favorite books for the month of September were:

‘Havoc’ by Eva Simmons (Twisted Kings MC Book 4)

‘Highest Bidder’ by Sara Cate (ReRead) (Salacious Players’ Club Book 5)

‘Reflections of You’ by Jennilynn Wyer (Fallen Brook Book 4)

Reviews and Ratings of each book I read for September are on my Blog/Goodreads/StoryGraph.

What books did you read and love in September?

... Read moreRecovering from gallbladder removal presents unique challenges, but combining physical activity with mindful nutrition and reading creates a holistic healing environment. Incorporating whole foods assists digestion, especially important after gallbladder surgery, by easing bile flow and reducing digestive discomfort. Many find that gentle activities like daily walking not only enhance physical recovery but also contribute positively to mental health. Reading can be a remarkable companion during recovery, offering both distraction and motivation. Immersing yourself in engaging narratives, such as Eva Simmons' 'Havoc', Sara Cate's 'Highest Bidder', or Jennilynn Wyer's 'Reflections of You', can provide emotional comfort and keep spirits uplifted. Additionally, exploring digital platforms like Libby, Kindle Unlimited, and Kobo Plus highlights the convenience of accessing a wide variety of books without physical strain. For those navigating health transformations, setting realistic goals for physical activity is vital. Gradually reintroducing strength training as recovery progresses promotes muscle rebuilding and overall wellness. Engaging with communities such as book blogging forums or #monthlyreadingwrapup can also foster social connections, enriching the recovery experience. If you’re inspired by this reading wrap-up, consider maintaining a balanced routine that integrates nutritious eating, physical movement, and fulfilling hobbies like reading to support both physical and emotional healing during recovery.
