Night Architecture
Poor sleep changes more than physical energy.
Sleep helps regulate stress and emotional reactions. When sleep is reduced, the brain becomes less efficient at regulating emotional information.
Because of this, the brain starts prioritizing possible stress and discomfort faster.
After poor sleep, small frustrations can feel more important than they normally would, and neutral situations may feel more irritating, more personal, or emotionally heavier.
This means poor sleep does not just affect mood. It can change how situations are interpreted and experienced emotionally.
