Last Two Book Finished and April Recap

5/2 Edited to

... Read moreApril was quite a month for reading! I finally finished Mariah Stewart's "Wake Up Call," and I can confidently say it was almost the best book I read this month. The storytelling kept me hooked, and the characters felt genuine and relatable. It’s the kind of novel that stays with you after closing the book, making you reflect on its themes. On the flip side, "Between The Lies" was disappointing. I was excited to dive into it, but it just didn’t resonate with me. The plot felt predictable, and I struggled to connect with the narrative or the characters. Sometimes, a book just doesn’t hit the mark, and that’s okay — it’s all part of the journey as a reader. Sharing these mixed experiences helps me refine my taste and discover new favorites. Tracking my reading month by month not only motivates me but also keeps me honest about what works and what doesn’t in my literary adventures. If you’re looking for solid recommendations, definitely give "Wake Up Call" a try — especially if you enjoy suspenseful novels with emotional depth. If you decide to read "Between The Lies," go in with tempered expectations. I hope my April recap helps fellow book lovers find their next great read or steer clear of one that might not be worth your time.
