Daija’s Thoughts: Being a content creator

I have been on & off wanting to do youtube for years now and have yet to be consistent.

It is the constant thought of :

✨Is it for me or not ?

✨Are people going to engage or support ?

✨Will anyone like my content ?

✨Will anyone actually subscribe ?

Because of those thoughts I become overwhelmed and attempt to make everything perfect.

But this week I decided to just do whatever I feel is best. If I spend so much time trying to make videos perfect before putting them out i’ll forever be putting it off due to me thinking it isn’t good enough.

First video will be out next week, if school doesn’t take up all my time 🫶🏽

Being a content creator is often a mix of excitement and anxiety. Many new creators share similar concerns—questions about engagement, support, and audience reception loom large. Moreover, leveraging existing platforms like YouTube can foster an environment for like-minded individuals to connect and support each other's growth. In addition, utilizing social media can enhance visibility, and sharing personal experiences may encourage others to engage with your content. Aspiring creators should remember that building an audience takes time and persistence. Consistency is key—producing content regularly can help establish a community and maintain viewer interest. Exploring niches and experimenting with various formats can also be beneficial. If you're contemplating starting your channel, consider this an invitation to embrace the journey, imperfections and all. Your voice is unique and deserves to be shared with the world.
