Microsoft Confirm, April's Windows Update, Can Cause Backup Failure

Examples of affected software include Macrium (Reflect), Acronis (Cyber Protect Cloud), UrBackup Server, and NinjaOne Backup, etc.
Which is why Microsoft has explained that because the psmounterex.sys driver has a serious security vulnerability to the CVE-2023-43896 code, the vulnerability is a buffer overflow vulnerability that allows hackers to upgrade their Escalate Privileges or run unauthorized code on the system, which has been added to the Blocklist to the blocklist, which has led to this problem. Microsoft has advised that for users in distress, the company does not recommend that customers cancel it. Update said Windows, but ask to update the backup software in question to the latest version, instead it will be available.

Backup software with the driver mentioned above cannot simulate the Mounting Image backup file.
When searching for (Browse) or Recovery from an image backup file, the user may encounter an Error or Timeouts, such as "The backup has failed because Microsoft VSS has timed out during the snapshot creation" or VSS _ E _ BAD _ STATE.
In the Event Viewer section, users will find an alert that the Code Integrity malfunctioned because the psmounterex.sys driver was blocked from being able to be loaded.
Creating an image backup file may be successful. It is not possible to simulate the drive from it.
