Uni Jetstream Lite Touch

recently passed by Amax and saw that they have the Jetstream Lite Touch series in stock! and I decided to get one just to see the difference…

I got mine in 0.7 (since getting them in 0.7, idk how to go back to 0.5 😭) and I find that it’s a bit “dryer” to the regular jetstream and writes even darker. I also noticed a bit less pooling too. But overall it’s super smooth, dries fast as expected, the pen design is comfortable to hold!

... Read moreWhen I first saw the Uni Jetstream Lite Touch at Amax, I was immediately intrigued. As someone who's always on the hunt for the perfect writing tool, especially for my study sessions and daily notes, the promise of a 'Lite Touch' version of an already beloved pen was too good to pass up. My initial experience, as shared, was overwhelmingly positive, but there's so much more to unpack about this pen, particularly when you put it side-by-side with its classic Jetstream sibling. Let's talk design. The Uni Jetstream Lite Touch truly lives up to its name with a sleek, minimalist aesthetic that feels modern and clean. Unlike some pens that feel clunky or overly embellished, this one boasts a refined look that's perfect for any setting, from a lecture hall to a professional office. The comfortable, smooth rubber grip is a game-changer for long writing sessions, preventing hand fatigue. And a detail I really appreciate, which the OCR also highlighted, is the stable, non-wobbling knock part. It sounds small, but that firm click and lack of movement make the pen feel incredibly well-engineered and reliable. Now, onto the core: the writing experience. My preference for 0.7mm nibs has grown over time; I find it offers a bolder line without sacrificing precision. Comparing the Lite Touch 0.7mm directly with a regular Jetstream, the difference is noticeable. The Lite Touch ink feels distinctly 'dryer' initially, which might sound counterintuitive for smoothness, but it contributes to significantly less pooling, especially when I'm writing quickly or on different paper types. This 'Lite touch ink' formulation truly delivers a darker, more consistent line, making my notes pop. It’s still super smooth – that classic Jetstream glide is there – but with an enhanced precision and quick-drying nature that means absolutely no smudges. For anyone who's ever had their meticulously taken notes ruined by a stray hand, this is a huge win. One of the practical aspects that makes the Lite Touch an even more attractive option, as observed in the OCR, is the availability of separate ink refills. This is a big plus for sustainability and cost-effectiveness. Instead of tossing the entire pen when the ink runs out, you can simply replace the cartridge, extending the life of your favorite pen body. This feature alone adds significant value, especially if you find yourself falling in love with the comfortable body and stable knock mechanism. So, who should consider the Uni Jetstream Lite Touch? If you're a student looking for a reliable, smooth-writing pen that dries fast and won't smudge your important notes, this is a fantastic choice. For professionals, its elegant design and consistent performance make it ideal for everyday office tasks. And if you're a stationery enthusiast like me, always seeking that next level of writing comfort and ink quality, exploring the Lite Touch series, perhaps even the 4&1 multi-pen version, is definitely worth it. It’s an upgrade that enhances an already great writing experience, offering a refined feel and superior ink performance that truly sets it apart.

Choosing your perfect pen
these are some points to consider when choosing your perfect pen - 1. tip size - be aware that if it’s a ball point pen, the 0.5 mm tip is thinner than the 0.5 mm of gel pens! It typically ranges from fine (0.3 mm) to broad (0.7 mm or even 1.0 mm) 2. viscosity - many gel and ball point pens li
