Last week of classes as a 4th year recap
For a music student–it’s a concert season~ So many friends are either having their studio concert or solo recitals, I try to plan accordingly so I can leave some time to support them! I also played for my friend’s recital, it was a success!
I’m already missing some of my classes, especially class brass and percussion, I’m glad I decided to take this class in my 4th year instead of last year, we got to spend more time on each instrument.
One thing I won’t miss: the commute :,D

As a 4th-year music student, the last week of classes marks not just the conclusion of a semester, but also a significant milestone in my musical journey. Watching fellow students perform at their studio concerts and solo recitals was incredibly fulfilling; it reminded me of our collective growth and shared challenges. Recitals are a must-see during concert season, offering a platform for talent to shine. Attending our school's symphony orchestra’s final concert was an enchanting experience, showcasing the hard work and dedication of my peers. Throughout the year, I focused on mastering brass and percussion instruments, which provided me with invaluable skills and confidence in performance and conducting. Conducting the junior band has its unique challenges, but it has given me the opportunity to develop my conducting skills and sense of musical leadership. I've spent my remaining volunteer days organizing music in the library, which has deepened my appreciation for the intricacies of musicology. While I will cherish the friendships and memories made, I must admit, I won’t miss the long commutes to university! As my classes conclude, I look forward to what lies ahead in my music career, feeling equipped with the knowledge, experience, and friendships that will last a lifetime.
