my favorite minimal planner for school

I got my hands on the Muji 2025 September starting planner, specifically for my 11-month program. I’ve used the vertical format before and it aligns well with my workflow, and even for recording my life when I’m not studying. Decided to get this because I feel that I need to get my life in order during the school year xD

I have it in B6 size, slightly smaller than A5, but it feels right for me. The planner has a year view, monthly calendar view, weekly view, and extra lined grids pages for extra notes. I mainly use the weekly view time-blocking, since I will eventually have tasks I’ll be completing during certain times, and it’s just a nicer way to schedule events.

The monthly calendar view is usually left empty unless I have scheduled events. As for the extra line pages, I use it for wish lists, goals, and end of the year reflections! I’m thinking of adding pen swatches and record any new stationery I purchased xD

... Read moreHey everyone! Since sharing my new Muji planner, I’ve gotten so many questions about how I keep my study space and my planner looking organized and aesthetic, especially with handwritten elements. It's actually easier than you think to create that perfect study planner aesthetic desk setup! First, let's talk about setting up your study desk planner aesthetic. My Muji B6 planner, with its clean white cover, already lends itself to a minimalist look, but you can enhance this with a few simple touches. I always make sure my desk is clutter-free. A good desk organizer is key – I use a small clear one for my pens, highlighters, and sticky notes. Incorporating some natural elements, like a small plant or a nice scented candle, instantly elevates the vibe. Good lighting is also crucial for both productivity and aesthetics; a sleek desk lamp can make a huge difference. When my planner is open to its weekly layout with vertical columns, it looks so inviting and ready for action! Now, for the "how-to" on creating an organized planner aesthetic within the pages themselves. My Muji planner has that fantastic weekly view designed for time-blocking, which is my secret weapon. Instead of just writing down tasks, I block out specific hours for classes, study sessions, and even breaks. I love using different colored pens for different subjects or types of activities – it really makes my handwritten class schedules pop and easy to read at a glance. For example, blue for lectures, green for assignments, and pink for personal appointments. This method isn't just organized; it's visually appealing too, giving that "organized planner notebook aesthetic" everyone loves. Don't forget the extra lined grid pages at the back! These are a goldmine for more than just wish lists. I use them for brain-dumping ideas, tracking habits (like water intake or daily reading), or even sketching out project outlines. Sometimes I add a small sketch or doodle to make it more personal. To keep things practical, I always have a few checklist sticky notes ready. I can stick them directly onto my weekly spread for urgent tasks or slip them into the clear pocket on the inside cover for later. It’s all about creating functional beauty. For those who love the study planner handwritten look, investing in good pens makes a huge difference. I prefer fine-liner pens that don't bleed through Muji's paper. Experiment with different styles of handwriting for headings versus details to add more visual interest. Small stickers, especially minimal ones, can also help highlight important dates or achievements without making the page feel cluttered – they contribute to that cute "handwritten notes and stickers" vibe. Finally, embracing the principles of Korean study planner aesthetic can also inspire you. It’s all about functionality, simplicity, and a clean layout, which aligns perfectly with the Muji style. My goal is always to have a weekly planner open notebook schedule that inspires me to stay on top of my studies and feel calm, not overwhelmed. By combining thoughtful organization with aesthetic touches, your planner won't just be a tool; it'll be a beautiful reflection of your dedication to an organized student life. Happy planning!
