the mini checklist I use for my school planner

if you use a planner but don’t have spaces for checklists, you need to check out this sticky checklist from Muji!!

It’s a lot smaller than their checklist memo with the clear cover, this one you can use in on smaller planners, I’m currently using it in my Muji 2025.09 vertical planner for planning my tasks aside from my digital school planner which is my Notion page.

it comes in 3 colors, with adhesive at the top part but not where the color is, so you can use it as a bookmark too! I can easily carry this in my pen case or even better, slip it inside the covers of my planner.

each checklist is small enough so I can use it for very specific tasks. you can use any pen on this paper (because it’s paper)

... Read moreBeyond just my Muji sticky checklist, I've found a whole world of Muji stationery that truly elevates my planning game. While my original post focused on how amazing those compact sticky checklists are for adding extra task space to any planner, especially when you're all about those handwritten tasks, I want to share how I integrate other Muji gems into my routine. For bigger picture planning, my Muji weekly planner is a lifesaver. It gives me an overview of my academic commitments and allows me to allocate time blocks before drilling down into daily tasks. And for those days when I'm just carrying a small bag, a Muji mini planner paired with a few of their sticky notes (not just the checklist ones!) is perfect for jotting down quick ideas or reminders. I often use Muji tabs to mark important sections in my textbooks or notes, which is incredibly helpful when I'm creating an exam revision checklist notebook for upcoming tests. Speaking of handwritten tasks, there's something so satisfying about physically checking things off. It just feels more real than a digital checkmark. Research even suggests that the act of hand writing can improve memory retention, which is a huge plus when I'm trying to absorb new information or prepare for exams. I use my Muji sticky checklist specifically for breaking down larger projects into smaller, manageable handwritten tasks. For example, 'study for history exam' becomes 'review Chapter 1 notes,' 'read assigned article,' 'create flashcards for key terms' (hello, Muji flashcards!), and 'do practice questions.' This meticulous method, especially when I'm task planning for an exam, makes everything feel less daunting and keeps me focused. The beauty of Muji's design, like the adhesive on just the top part of the checklist, makes them incredibly versatile. I not only use them for immediate task lists but also for quick brain dumps, acting like Muji post-it notes that can be easily moved around. The fact that they often come in a set of three colors also helps me color-code different subjects or task types, which is a visual aid I truly appreciate. Their compact size means I can literally slip them into my pencil case or the cover of my planner, making them always accessible, whether I'm at the library or just studying from my dorm room. It's truly about making task planning efficient and enjoyable. If you're like me and love the tangible feel of paper planning but sometimes need that extra space for specific handwritten tasks, exploring Muji's broader range beyond just the sticky checklist is a game-changer. From their classic Muji sticky notes to their various planners and organizational tools, they offer simple, functional solutions that seamlessly integrate into a busy student's life. They perfectly bridge the gap between digital tools like Notion and the satisfying reality of putting pen to paper, ensuring no task is ever forgotten and every study session is maximized.
