MSM MONSTER REDESIGNS!

Playing My Singing Monsters has always been a creative outlet for me, and lately, I've been diving deep into character redesigns! It's so much fun to take these beloved msm characters and reimagine them in my own msm art style. After sharing my initial msm redesigns of Gnarls, Xyster, Furcorn, and Ghazt, I wanted to share a bit more about my process and what inspired these monster makeovers. Let's talk about Gnarls msm first. My vision for this tree-like creature really leaned into its earthy essence. I wanted to emphasize its connection to nature, giving it those vibrant yellow and orange flower eyes that seem to glow with life. The wide toothy grin adds a touch of playful mischief, and those glowing green and yellow beaded vines hanging from its body? They're meant to look like bioluminescent forest moss, making it feel ancient and magical. I wanted this my singing monsters redesign to feel organic yet otherworldly. Then there's Xyster my singing monsters, a truly unique monster to tackle. For my xyster msm fanart, I focused on its ethereal, almost alien qualities. The light blue and purple striped body was a great canvas, and I decided to give it more pronounced horns to emphasize its power. Those large yellow eyes are meant to convey a sense of wisdom and mystery. But the real highlight for me was its long, segmented tail made of glowing, starry orbs. I pictured it leaving a trail of stardust as it moves, making it a true cosmic dancer. Designing xyster fanart is always a joy because of its distinctive features. Moving on to Ghazt, the original design is already so iconic. For my msm redesign of Ghazt, I wanted to enhance its ghostly charm. The purple, star-patterned ghost-like creature concept was already there, but I aimed for a more translucent, wispy feel, almost like it's shimmering. The glowing orbs it holds are now even more central to its design, radiating a soft, otherworldly light that feels both comforting and mysterious. And of course, Furcorn! This little guy is just adorable. My my singing monsters character redesign for Furcorn kept its core charm as a small, green, furry monster with a leaf on its head. I just wanted to make its fur look even softer and more inviting, and that wide open mouth is perfect for its cheerful singing. It's such a pure, joyful creature.
