Content vs Procrastination 😤

Procrastination and Laziness hindering you from your Youtube Content Creator Journey? 🫣📸 Here are a few tips to nip that in the 🍑! 🤭

⚡️ Beat Your Brain! 🧠 When you have that thought “I should pick up my camera” “I should edit” you have 5 seconds to just DO IT! before your brain talks you out of doing it. Start counting down to 5, when you reach 1, IMMEDIATELY take action.

⚡️ Find different aesthetic pleasing places to edit! 🏝️Editing in the same spot gets boring. Switch it up! Go to your local Starbucks. Go outside. Library. Your local bars are usually empty during the day, have a drinky drink and get loose and create! ( I get slightly tipsy and my creativity starts flowing 😏 )

⚡️ Plan your content! 📒 Buy a cutesy planner and plan out your content worthy days, when to post, when to edit. Feeling organized, prepared and literally something telling you “Hey!!! this needs to be done” helps you do that 💩!

⚡️ Find content friends! 👯‍♀️ Hold each other accountable. Plan editing dates. Plan outings together and get content in at the same time. We all can use a support system. 🤝🏾

⚡️ Rest! 😴Yes as much as it is important to be consistent and post as much as you can. Make sure you are setting a time to rest. recharge. rest your brain. So you can have the energy and willpower to continue to do content and space for creativity to flow in!

⚡️ Reward yourself. 💐 Finished that video? Got a days/week worth of content? Crossed out everything in your planner for that month? Finished before your set deadline. Set up a reward system for yourself. You deserve it. Eventually your success will be your reward. Remember that 🙂‍↔️

Even the most successful youtubers go through procrastination but we can all beat it! It’s just mental blockage. Learn yourself, find what works for you, Be easy on yourself and free your mind! You Got This! ⚡️🫶🏾🩷

... Read moreProcrastination can be a common hurdle for aspiring YouTube creators. To defeat it, creating a structured plan is essential. Begin by setting achievable goals that break down your content creation into smaller tasks. This method makes the process feel less overwhelming. Find inspiration from successful YouTubers: many share their own experiences with procrastination in their videos and blogs. It's also beneficial to establish a timeline for your projects. Use tools like Trello or Asana to help keep your tasks organized and on schedule. Setting specific deadlines creates a sense of urgency that can motivate you to take action rather than delay. Creating a ritual can also help combat procrastination. Whether it's a specific time of day dedicated to content creation or a comfy space designated for editing, consistency breeds habit. Prioritize comfort and creativity in your workspace; perhaps adding music or visual cues that inspire you. Lastly, take frequent breaks to recharge. Nurture your mental and emotional well-being, as a refreshed mind generates better ideas. Engage with fellow creators to share your struggles and victories, as a community of peers can provide encouragement and accountability. You are not alone in this journey! That's how you can transform procrastination into a motivating force.
