No one is coming to save you…
The joke in our house is that hubs would probably collect the life insurance before coming to save me. 😂
But if we’re being real…
I know exactly who he’d be when it mattered most.
Marriage isn’t built on the sarcastic comments, or the playful banter we throw around every day. It’s built on a thousand little moments that quietly answer the question, “Can I count on you?”
And that’s one thing I’m incredibly grateful for.
Life is going to throw hard seasons at every marriage. There will be moments when one of you is tired, discouraged, overwhelmed, or carrying more than you ever expected.
My prayer has never been for a perfect marriage. It’s been for a marriage where, no matter what comes our way, we keep choosing to show up for each other.
Because at the end of the day, the greatest feeling isn’t knowing someone can rescue you.
It’s knowing you never have to face life alone.
Would your partner be running toward you… or would they “accidentally” miss the call? 😂👇🏾

From my own experience, I've learned that marriage is less about grand gestures and more about the steady presence in daily life. When challenges arise—whether it's financial stress, health issues, or emotional struggles—the couple’s silent commitment to showing up matters most. This means answering calls, lending a hand without being asked, or simply being there to listen. Humor, like the joke about "collecting life insurance before saving," lightens tough moments but doesn't define the relationship's resilience. Real strength is found in those "thousand little moments" where you prove reliability: making breakfast on a hard day, sharing a tired smile, or keeping promises. These everyday acts reinforce the foundation that says, "You’re not alone in this." Moreover, acknowledging that no partner is perfect allows room for growth and forgiveness. It’s less about expecting a hero and more about mutual support that adapts through seasons of life. My own marriage has thrived by embracing imperfections and choosing to show up, even when it’s inconvenient or tiring. It’s a powerful reminder that relationship goals aren’t about perfection but commitment to each other’s well-being and happiness. Ultimately, "no one is coming to save you" is a call to cherish partnership as a shared journey. It encourages cultivating trust, empathy, and the willingness to face life side by side, ready to rise together no matter what comes next.
