This room looks 5x bigger!

This was a recent project I worked on for an owner getting ready to sell their home. They wanted advice on how to make the space more inviting and welcoming for buyers.

Now, I didn’t hate the original dark wall color — it gave the room some character — but when selling a house, you want to create a bright, neutral environment that buyers can envision themselves in. White walls may feel a little “safe,” but they really do open up the space and let people imagine their own style. And of course, once they move in, they can always paint if they want!

I personally ended up loving how this room turned out — it felt fresh, spacious, and so much more welcoming. 🏡✨

💡 Staging tip: For beds, I use camping cots with air mattresses topped with bed skirts, sheets, and lots of extra bedding to create that fluffy, cozy look. I’ve seen people try foldable tables, but unless you pile on a ton of bedding (which gets expensive), it doesn’t quite give the same effect. The cot + air mattress combo is budget-friendly and super convincing!

The owner was thrilled with the transformation — and honestly, so was I!
