Finally, THE Boxing Reflex-Ball done right. Manufactured by a company operating under the name: “SoulShift”. The makers of the very best version of this odd little device didn’t know they were also making the best version of the key to a universe within which all of the mental & physical therapeutic pathways converge into one; the best kept secret hiding, not so much in plain sight, but hilariously cloaked inside something that I once mocked as a “child’s play-thing”. And well… yes, a Boxing Reflex-Ball is exactly that; and so much more.

Therapeutic Benefit Number 1: Preventative Medicine. The Boxing Reflex-Ball is a prophylactic physical activity that delays or prevents the onset of neurodegenerative disease (Dementia, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, Etc.). It’s like BrainGames on steroids; with all of its cerebral efficacy, but without any of the counterintuitive elements like that of the sedentary contract of task engagement to which the would-be players of brain-games are forced to be relegated; I.E. “Brain Training” apps such as Luminosity & Elevate obviously require the user to sit still & look at the screen (And for the record, that is not an indictment on either of those brain training apps; I would recommend using either). Whereas the Reflex-Ball allows the access to all of the cognitive benefits of Brain-Games, without the unfortunate stipulation of voluntary physical INactivity. Moreover, utilizing a Boxing Reflex-Ball gives the user access to a versatile gym for, not only your brain, but that for the body, mind & soul (How it manages to benefit that last thing is through the artificial stimulation of the orienting reflex; into which I will delve further next time).

The concept of the reflex-ball should have been enough for the field of neuroscience to find itself in an enamored state of profound curiosity for the last five years. Sadly, it didn’t get much traction in the scientific domain. But thankfully, for the large subset of people for whom Alzheimer’s is the end-road by mere genetic predisposition, the Reflex-Ball is starting to gather the requisite number of eyeballs for it to begin garnering its long overdue attention & much deserved scientific intrigue. And apart from me being a narcissistic, the possibility of giving this odd little device any bit of attention that I can possibly manage, are, in tandem, the reason for which I’m posting this video; and of course, this endless rant along with it.
