What was the reason 4 UR last hospital visit?

Hi I’m Gloria from Cali ☀️(first post)

I went in the ER a few days ago feeling so dizzy and weak…

Turns out I have type 2 diabetes mt glucose level was at 234 and was also experiencing high blood pressure 😢

Major life changing news as I’ve always had terrible eating habits and always had the intention to change but not enough self love and motivation to push me through.

Now I have to push myself and change so much about my routine. I have two little ones and thinking of leaving them just because of my self negligence is one of my motives to make the changes. On top of that is self love… can’t love them correctly if I don’t love myself first.

It’s tough and I’m struggling but I’m doing the thing.. one day at a time 🥹

Whatever was the reason for your last visor visit I hope you are doing better now 🙏#hospital#fyplemon8#embracevulnerability#motherhood#selflove

... Read moreIt's truly a shock when your body tells you something is seriously wrong and you end up in the ER. I never imagined that my dizziness and weakness would lead to such a life-altering diagnosis. I remember lying there, feeling so vulnerable, watching the nurses expertly insert the IV cannula and secure it to my hand with that transparent dressing. It was a stark visual reminder that this wasn't just a fleeting illness; something significant was happening inside. Seeing that IV line taped to my hand made it all feel very real, very quickly. When the doctor delivered the news – Type 2 Diabetes, with a glucose level of 234 and high blood pressure – my mind raced. All those years of terrible eating habits, the lack of self-care, suddenly caught up to me. It's easy to push health concerns aside when you're busy with life, especially as a mom. But that moment, with the IV drip running, was a wake-up call I couldn't ignore. The initial overwhelm was immense. How was I going to change everything? What did this even mean for my future? But then, a different kind of thought started to form. My two little ones. The idea of not being there for them, or not being able to fully participate in their lives because of my own negligence, was a powerful motivator. And then, self-love. I realized I couldn't truly pour into them if my own cup was empty and unhealthy. This diagnosis, as terrifying as it was, became my catalyst for change. The first step, for me, has been education. I've been diving into what Type 2 Diabetes truly means, beyond just high blood sugar. It's about understanding how food affects my body, the importance of regular glucose monitoring (which often involves a tiny prick on the finger – a different kind of 'glucose hand' experience!), and finding ways to move my body more. I'm focusing on small, sustainable changes rather than drastic overhauls. Swapping sugary drinks for water, adding more vegetables to every meal, and aiming for short walks each day are my starting points. It's not about perfection, but progress. I'm also learning to be kinder to myself. This journey isn't a straight line, and there will be slip-ups. But having the support of my doctor and starting to connect with others who are managing diabetes has been incredibly helpful. If you're reading this and experiencing symptoms like dizziness, extreme weakness, or unexplained changes in your health, please get it checked out. Don't wait until an ER visit forces your hand. And if you've recently received a diagnosis that feels overwhelming, know that you're not alone. It's a journey, one day at a time, motivated by love – for yourself and for those who depend on you. We can do this.

Funny story actually, I broke my knee and went to the hospital, and had to stay 2 nights and had a horrible asma attack while I was their which lead to a lot more complications and extended my stay to about 4 weeks, and then got diagnosed with depression while I was their and had to go to the psych ward for about a month 😂😂😂

Adult Children Don’t Walk Away For No Reason
Children are biologically wired to love and attach to their parents — not cut them off. Most adult children don’t walk away because they’re “ungrateful.” They walk away after years of hurt, invalidation, toxic communication, emotional neglect, manipulation, boundary violations, or parents refusi
