When you find your Why you will know your Way and your How will be by any means necessary. No matter what you go through when it’s your purpose it will be a practice that you always return to. Though at times it might feel like you have lost touch with it the reality is it is just evolving with you as you move away from people, places, and things that no longer align with where you are. Remember your why… and I promise you as you reconnect you will realize that the best is yet to come!

... Read moreFrom my personal experience, understanding your 'why' is pivotal in maintaining motivation, especially in running. There were times when I felt disconnected or lost interest, but every time I revisited the core reason I started—whether it was health, stress relief, or personal achievement—I found renewed energy and clarity. It's natural for your goals to shift as your life changes; maybe certain running routes or training plans no longer suit your lifestyle, or your circle doesn’t align with your fitness aspirations anymore. Embracing this evolution without guilt helps keep your why authentic and inspiring. One strategy I've found effective is journaling about what running means to me at different stages. Doing this helped me identify subtle changes in values and goals, making the practice feel fresh rather than stale. For example, early on, my why was purely about fitness, but later it became about mental well-being and community. This mindset helped me push through difficult days and remember that setbacks are part of growth. Furthermore, connecting with like-minded communities, such as local running groups or online forums tagged #runningmotivation and #run, can reinforce your sense of purpose. Sharing struggles and triumphs reminds you that the journey isn’t solitary. Lastly, recognizing that your how—the methods and routines—will adapt with your why can relieve pressure to be perfect. It’s okay to alter your path as long as your core purpose remains clear. This approach has kept me running consistently and excited about what lies ahead.
