I specialize in hand drawn colorable designs and travel across the WORLD teaching the importance of mindful coloring!
Last summer I got the honor of working with the Wichita Art Museum to produce a colorable series of designs inspired by their (I’m)Permanent art collection!
I was given the freedom to select only a few (out of the thousands) that inspired me.
One of them was this beautiful, and somewhat perplexing sculpture, ‘Dreamers Awake’ by Tom Otterness (1995).
This sculpture tells a thousand stories. A woman scorned, a battle won (and lost) and unique little creatures that may (or may not) be grave robbers. The sculpture is full of so many stories that can be interpreted looking at its many pieces- however- all these seem to boil down to one thing- matters of the heart. As I say and stared at this sculpture- I noticed random limbs laying everywhere- but the heart seems centered, almost purposefully.
So based off of these observations, I created this really unique design that not only highlights some of the intriguing elements of these pieces in my own creative, abstract way!
It was an honor studying Tom & his amazing sculptures.

... Read moreHey everyone! So many of you have asked more about what I really do, beyond just a quick intro. It's truly a passion project that's grown into my whole world! When I say I create 'hand-drawn colorable designs,' it's more than just outlines. It’s about taking intricate concepts, sometimes from grand sculptures like 'Dreamers Awake,' and distilling them into a format where you can bring them to life with your own colors. My process often begins with deep observation – spending hours sketching, researching, and then meticulously rendering each line. I ensure every stroke tells a story, even before any color is added. I want every piece from COLORON CREATE STUDIO to be an invitation to slow down, engage your creativity, and find a moment of calm.
And mindful coloring? Oh, it’s a game-changer! It's not just for kids; it's a powerful and accessible tool for adults to de-stress, focus, and tap into their inner calm. I teach workshops where we use these designs as anchors for active meditation. We explore how the simple act of choosing colors, focusing on the intricate lines, and simply being present with the activity can quiet the incessant chatter of the mind. It helps foster a profound sense of peace and presence. It's incredible to witness the transformations in people, even during a short session – the visible melting away of tension, the newfound focus, and often, a spark of childlike joy. I've been incredibly lucky to take these workshops across the globe, sharing the magic of mindful art with diverse communities, from bustling city centers to quiet, reflective retreats. Each journey is a new lesson in how art truly connects us all, transcending language and culture.
My work at TYA COLORON EATE STUDIO isn't just about selling coloring pages; it's about building a vibrant community around creativity and well-being. Whether it's a complex design inspired by a museum masterpiece, a geometric mandala, or a whimsical nature-themed doodle, the ultimate goal is always the same: to empower you to find joy, mindfulness, and self-expression through art. I often get asked how I come up with ideas, and honestly, inspiration is everywhere! From the smallest detail in nature – the intricate patterns on a leaf or the texture of tree bark – to the grand narratives of art history, I find beauty in unexpected places. I strive to translate that inspiration into something tangible and colorable for you, a personal canvas for your own unique interpretation. It's truly rewarding to see my designs become a starting point for your creative journey. I pour my heart into every line, hoping it encourages you to pick up those pencils, markers, or paints and let your creativity flow freely. It's a colorful and mindful journey we're all on together, and I'm so grateful to share it with you!
This is so cool! Welcome to the community✨ 💫
