Are these symptoms normal?😅
I think hormonal imbalances are so common they’ve become “normal”😭 which is so sad!!!
I know a lot of women that struggle with similar symptoms and were told by doctors that what we’re experiencing is just a part of having a cycle.
But these hormonal imbalances are not normal and feeling horrible all the time is not how we’re supposed to feel!
I think knowing the signs of hormonal imbalance is important and understanding that there is a root cause to these symptoms.
I’ve been working with a functional medicine doctor the past year to improve my hormone balance and have less of these symptoms and so far it’s been working!!
I’d love to know if any of you have experienced similar symptoms to me? We’re in this together!!🥹🤍

Many women face hormonal imbalance symptoms that are frequently dismissed as just part of the menstrual cycle, but in reality, these symptoms can indicate underlying health issues that deserve attention. Common signs include cystic acne on the jawline and cheeks, which can severely impact self-confidence. Puffy, swollen facial appearance—often referred to as "moon face"—is another sign that hormones may be out of balance. Persistent bloating and the inability to comfortably wear certain clothes also point to underlying hormonal disruptions. Severe period cramps that incapacitate for days are not something to accept as "normal." Furthermore, eczema appearing on the neck and face due to histamine intolerance linked with estrogen dominance highlights the complexity of hormonal interactions in the body. Anxiety spikes during ovulation and the luteal phase, caused by fluctuating hormone levels, can severely affect mental well-being. It’s important to understand that these symptoms stem from a root cause that must be identified, rather than just managed superficially. Functional medicine approaches offer a comprehensive way to address hormonal imbalances by investigating diet, lifestyle, stress levels, and other environmental factors. Working with specialized doctors can help tailor treatments that minimize symptoms and promote lasting hormone health. If you or someone you know experiences these symptoms, know that you’re not alone and that they are not merely "normal." Seeking proper evaluation and support can make all the difference in reclaiming comfort and confidence in daily life.

I’ve experienced all of these 🫠 solidarity! The worst personally for me was hormonal acne because I’m like “I’m too old for this!” Haha. But I am also thankful because it gave me really obvious signs that my body was out of whack and needing changes.
