I often find myself falling into an 'art block,' but picking a subject I'm genuinely passionate about, like Link in this iconic gear, always helps me break through. When I started this piece, I really wanted to capture that cool, almost ethereal vibe of the Frostbite Armor. One of the techniques I experimented with this time, which I found incredibly liberating, was painting directly on top of my initial sketch. Usually, I'd meticulously clean up my line art, but skipping that step allowed for a much more organic and fluid process.
