This heightened awareness can affect how they perceive pain, where experiencing every subtle change in their environment becomes overwhelming. One of the primary challenges faced by people with fibromyalgia is insomnia. Many find that their symptoms worsen at night, leading them to sleep during the day and be more active at night, much like the nocturnal lifestyle of vampires. This cycle can disrupt normal routines, making daily life a struggle. Cognitive issues, often referred to as 'brain fog,' are another shared experience. Those with fibromyalgia may find it difficult to remember even simple details, paralleling the memory gaps attributed to vampires before their transformation.
