Post first cleanse of the day! No peeling yet #vipeel #chemicalpeel
Okay, so it's Day 2 after my VI Peel, and honestly, I woke up feeling a mix of anticipation and a little bit of 'is it working?' On my Day 2 VI peel update, I thought I'd see some action, but nope – still no peeling! It's totally normal to feel this way, especially when you've heard all the stories about immediate shedding. But from what I’ve learned and experienced so far, the real peeling usually kicks in around Day 3 or 4 for most people, so no need to panic yet if you're like me. First thing this morning, I did my gentle cleanse, just like the aftercare instructions said. It felt good to wash away any residual product and just prep my skin for the day. My skin feels a bit tight, almost like it's shrink-wrapped, but it's not uncomfortable or painful. There's a subtle sheen, and it looks a little bit like I've got a slight sunburn, but nothing too noticeable. I made sure to apply all the post-peel towelettes and creams from my aftercare kit diligently. These are super important for soothing the skin and helping the peeling process along later. One of the most crucial things I'm focusing on today is hydration. I've been drinking tons of water, which is always good for your skin, but especially now. And, of course, sun protection is non-negotiable. Even though there's no visible peeling, my skin is definitely more sensitive, so a broad-spectrum SPF is my best friend right now. I'm avoiding direct sun exposure as much as possible and wearing a hat when I do step outside. It’s fascinating how different everyone’s skin reacts. While I haven't started peeling, some might experience slight flaking or dryness even on Day 2. The key is not to pick or force any peeling. Let your skin do its thing naturally. Trying to rush it can lead to irritation or even scarring, which is the last thing anyone wants after investing in a peel. I'm just letting my skin be, applying my products, and waiting patiently for the magic to happen. I’m really looking forward to seeing the refreshed skin underneath all of this. Stay tuned for more updates as my VI Peel journey continues!
