DORM ESSENTIALS🚿✨
Since it’s the beginning of college shopping, I thought I’d share some of my essentials that helped me through my freshman year!
🔌 BIG POWER STRIP
Usually in dorms there’s a max of 2 outlets. You will 100% need any type of long power strip with plenty of plug ins. This will make your life much easier!
💦BIG BRITA
Having a big brita was probably the smartest purchase I’ve ever made. I used to own a smaller one but I kept having to refill it every couple hours. With this one, you can have up to 27 cups of water. This is also thin, so it can easily fit in your small dorm fridge.
🧼 CORDLESS VACCUM
Again with the power strip, you will have so many cords lying around. Having an easy rechargeable vacuum is perfect for a dorm. This exact one has such a strong suction, it works amazing. You will need this 100%.
🚿 SHOWER CADDY
Instead of a regular caddy, I decided to buy this one. This caddy has so much more storage and easier access to items while showering. It’s small, contained, and dries very quickly.
💡FAIRY LIGHTS
Your dorm lighting will suck. I’m sorry, but who wants their overhead light on all the time. Not me lolz!!! I recommended wall lights since it won’t take up any floor space! Fairy lights can also double as wall decor :)
🪒SHOWER STEP STOOL
In the dorm showers, it’s likely that there won’t be any ledges to shave your legs on. If you’re like me, I like propping up my legs while showering. I used this waterproof one from Amazon, but you can get a little stool at any store.
🧺 BACKPACK LAUNDRY BAG
This was probably the most useful item I used during my freshman-sophomore year. Instead of lugging up and down a heavy basket, why not have your clothes in this huge backpack? This will be SO HELPFUL if you live in dorms without elevators.
