I often find myself holding tension in my jaw and shoulders without even realizing it. A quick check-in to consciously unclench the jaw and drop shoulders can instantly release so much physical stress. Sometimes, I’ll even do a quick body scan, just noticing where I’m holding tightness and sending my breath there. It’s like hitting a reset button for my entire body. Then there's the constant battle against overstimulation. We're bombarded with notifications, news, and endless scrolling. I've personally found immense relief in intentionally reducing stimulation gently. This means setting boundaries with my phone, especially in the evenings. Lowering lights and turning off any unnecessary background noise (even the TV if it's just on for 'company') creates a much more soothing environment.
