🧭 Who is "the end"?
Who is 🧭 "the Buddha"? And why is this word not just the name of "Buddha"?
Of all the words that appear in the Tripitaka, the word "death" may be one of the most familiar, but at the same time it is also the most misunderstood.
Not many people understand that "Buddha" is just another name for Buddha, a praiseworthy substitute for "He" or "Buddha," but to go deeper, it is found that it is not only a name, but a declaration of a moral state, and it reflects the essence of Buddhism.
This article systematically invites readers to understand the word "death," from its roots, its philosophical meaning, to its connection to the way people work in today's world.
📖 What does "the end" mean, and why can it be translated in more than one way?
The word Tathagata is a word that wise men describe in two ways, and both are considered "correct at the same time."
Line one: status + death
- I mean, that's true.
- I mean, go.
So that means
"The goers, as a matter of fact."
The second line: the state + the end.
- I mean, that's it.
- Ah, I mean, here we go.
So that means
"Who has come to the truth."
The commentary then sums up what it means: "The end is he who has arrived and returned with the same truth."
In other words, he who reaches the truth and exists with it without distortion.
🪷 Why did the Buddha use the word "death" to call himself?
In the early sutras after the Enlightenment, when the Buddha went to visit the Panchavakkai in the forest of Isipah, the Panchavakkai also called him "Codom" or "Senior" as an old priest.
The Buddha then forbade it, and declared,
"Do not call it the code or the senior, and now it is the arachnid, enlightened by yourself."
The choice of "we" instead of "we" is very important, because the word "we" also has traces of ego, but "death" is a state that is out of focus.
So this is not a name, but a saying that the prince's right as a mortal has ended, leaving only the knower, the awake, and the eyewitness of the truth.
🧠 the philosophical core of the word "death"?
If the in-depth meaning of the word "death" is summarized, at least three key hearts are found.
1) Who knows the truth as it is.
* The word "state" is directly linked to the idea of the eye, which is to see things without filling emotions, without exaggerating meaning.
* Therefore, the world is not viewed through preference, hatred, or fear, but by real conditions.
2) How does the speaker do that?
* In the Tripitaka, it is explained, "Tetchakha is a Tetchakari and Tetchakari."
* That is to say, what is said to what is done is homogeneous, not separate. This is the quality of mental and intellectual integrity.
3) Who is not dominated by the world
* The world here means happiness, suffering, fortune, decay, praise, gossip, and death is not dragged by these things, but can "live with the world" without "falling to the world."
🔍 "death" is different from "arhat"?
Even these two terms are closely related, but do not all mean the same thing.
- Arhat focuses on the outcome of the end of passion.
- Focus on the quality of wisdom and how to exist with truth.
If compared, be easy to understand.
- Arhat is "to the destination."
- The truth is, "How to walk the path without getting lost."
💼 and modern working life?
In the working world, most problems are not due to lack of knowledge, but due to
- Interpretation too soon.
- Taking the emotions to lead the decision.
- Inadvertently tying an identity to every event.
So "death" training is not an ordinance, but a practical mental skill?
1. See the event as it is
Falling job = seeing that "falling job" does not have to conclude that "I failed."
2. Do not hurry to put ego
Strong criticism = see that "speech" is not "worth ourselves"
3. Decide from the truth, not the emotion.
When the heart does not struggle, the decision is still, clear and does not create more problems.
The stagnant but decisive executives, the heads who don't have to raise their voices but the team believes, or the workers who don't have a panic but solve their problems, all reflect their quality, even if they never call themselves in Buddhist terms.
✨ is not a sacred word to praise the Buddha, but a model of the mind that sees truth, exists with truth, and is not dominated by the world.

In a volatile world, perhaps training as an "everyday" will not cause problems to disappear immediately, but will make us not add new problems to our emotions, and that may be the most important skill of this generation.
