But at the same time, the question always arises:
Who is that praying "Emperor"?
Does it exist in the history of Buddhism?
And why does this line of practice particularly emphasize praying with this word?

Root meaning of the word "emperor" in Buddhism
In the Tripitaka, the word "emperor" appears in the form of the word "emperor" referring to a great king who rules the land with justice, not with violence.
The character of the royal emperor according to the Bible is
• Rule the city by virtue
• The people are happy.
• The city is calm, not oppressive.
• Parents have high prestige.
However, the Buddha pointed out that even the great emperor was in the cycle of birth, old, sick, dead, unlike the attainder who was free from birth.
In other words, winning the outside world is not as high as winning self-passion.
From a secular emperor to a moral emperor?
Many practical teachers therefore explain the meaning of "emperor" in a fair way as
The greatest, not the ruler of the world, but the self-ruler, the one who

• Win anger
• Win passion
• Not overwhelmed by emotions
It is therefore considered the "Emperor of the Mind" or the Great Beyond the Inner World.

So what is the "Emperor" in the royal line, Grandfather Du?
Historically, no Buddha has a direct name of "the Emperor."
This prayer occurs in the line of teaching of Luang Grandpa Du Brahma Punho, which emphasizes simple practices but places great emphasis on merciful and merit devotion to all animals.
Luang Grandfather Du often teaches students that
Philanthropy should not only be done for oneself, but should spread to the lord and the living to loosen the karmic strings.

• Decreased conflict

The "Emperor" in prayer is therefore not one Buddha, but a symbol of mental training to be great over passion, fear, and karmic force.
