Best decision I’ve made
I've always believed that certain things in life carry deep emotional significance, but never did I imagine that hair could be one of them. "Hair holds memories" — this phrase struck a chord with me and changed how I view my own hair and experiences. Retaining hair, whether through hairstyles, haircuts, or simply the strands that fall, feels like preserving parts of my journey and milestones. For instance, every haircut symbolizes a chapter — a fresh start, a change in outlook, or personal growth. When I look back at old photos or keep locks of hair as mementos, it's like revisiting cherished memories that might otherwise fade. This concept has also affected my self-care routines. I now treat my hair with more respect, understanding that it's part of my story. Whether nourishing it or styling it in ways that reflect my mood and identity, I find joy in this daily ritual. It’s more than aesthetic; it’s a form of self-expression tied to my past and present. Sharing this perspective with friends revealed that many connect similarly with their hair, associating it with significant life moments, cultural identity, or emotional healing. Hair, in this sense, becomes a living archive of who we are, holding fragments of memories, emotions, and even pivotal experiences. In essence, embracing that hair embodies memories has been a transformative realization. It encourages me to cherish myself more deeply and preserve the intangible yet powerful personal history woven into each strand. This awareness makes me confident that choosing to value and respect my hair was undeniably one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.
