For a long time, I found myself caught in the cycle of waiting—waiting for the right moment, waiting to feel worthy, and waiting for all the stars to align before I could truly step into my power. The turning point came when I realized that the act of waiting itself was holding me back from living my authentic life. I understood that the most radical move was to stop shrinking myself, stop waiting for permission, and start showing up as my true, imperfect self. One of the biggest lessons I learned is that authenticity doesn’t mean having everything figured out or being flawless. It means being real—embracing your flaws, your strengths, and the messy in-between. When I stopped apologizing for who I was and what I wanted to be, everything changed. Opportunities started to open up, and I felt more connected to myself and others. This journey is deeply personal but also universally relatable. Many of us have experienced self-doubt and felt pressured to conform or wait until we feel “ready.” But authentic living is about acknowledging that who you are today is enough. Your value isn’t tied to external approval or some future ideal version of yourself. I encourage anyone reading this to ask themselves: What is one way you are still shrinking yourself? Maybe it’s your voice, your dreams, or your presence. Starting small by affirming your worth and daring to be seen can lead to profound changes.
