How to Save Money on Traveling 💰✈️

While traveling doesn't have to be as expensive as it seems, I've picked up one or two things that has saved me so much money on every trip.

🚙 Schedule an Uber/Lyft prior to your flight I've found it so much cheaper to schedule a car to pick me up rather than calling it on the spot. Days prior, I'd call it during a time that isn't so 'busy' and the driver will usually come 5-10 minutes before the actual pick up time.

💳 Chase a good credit card sign up bonus I wouldn't have been able to travel as often as I do if it wasn't for credit card points and miles. I am always on the hunt for a good sign up bonus and right now, @chase is offering an exclusive sign up bonus for the Chase Sapphire Preferred Card for 75,000 points. The potential of these points are valued to up to $1,650 and no one knows when this deal is going to end. Comment the word PREFERRED and I will send you a link to sign up.

🥙 Bring food/snacks with you prior to the airport Food and drinks cost more than they should at any airport. Yes, you'll have the throw away liquids at TSA, but no one has ever stopped me for food. Buy food and snacks prior to getting to the airport and you will automatically save so much money on dining.

What other ways to you save money when traveling? 🛩️✨

... Read moreTraveling can be costly, but with some strategic planning, you can significantly reduce your expenses. One of the simplest ways to save money is to book your transportation in advance – whether it’s an Uber or Lyft, securing your ride ahead of time can often result in lower fares. Additionally, utilizing credit card sign-up bonuses is an excellent strategy. Many travel rewards cards, like the Chase Sapphire Preferred, offer lucrative points that can translate into significant discounts on flights and accommodations. Another overlooked way to cut costs is to pack your own snacks and meals before heading to the airport. Airport food is notoriously overpriced, and bringing your own supplies can save you a significant amount on each trip. Remember to check the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) guidelines for food items before traveling. Consider exploring alternative accommodations, such as vacation rentals or hostels, which can often be more budget-friendly than traditional hotels. Finally, staying flexible with your travel dates and times can lead to substantial savings, as flights and hotels often reduce their prices during off-peak hours. By implementing these tips, you can enjoy memorable travel experiences without overspending.
