Where to stay with your boo in NYC?

Let’s just state the facts that NYC isn’t a budget city, but it is a place to visit if you’re looking to celebrate an event, anniversary, or just another ordinary day with you and your boo. From all the hotels I’ve stayed at in NYC, here have been my favorites:

✨ Hilton Midtown (6th Ave b/w 53rd & 54th) — the most central location if this is your first time visiting NYC. It’s walking distance to popular places like Central Park, Rockefeller, Radio City, Times Square, and a lot of amazing restaurants. It’s also close to Grand Central and central to a lot of subways to make getting around simple. New York Hilton Midtown Central Park Radio City Music Hall Times Square

✨ Hyatt Chelsea (140 W 24th St) — My go-to if this is your second time visiting NYC. It’s close to places like Bryant Park, Korea Town, and Chelsea. It’s great to go exploring places like the Chelsea Market & Hudson Yards Hyatt Place New York / Chelsea Bryant Park Hudson Yards

✨ The Dominick (Spring Street) — located in FiDi and is in lower Manhattan. Although on the pricier side, it was my favorite hotel in NYC for its service, hotel bar, staff, and restaurant attached to the property. The Dominick

... Read moreChoosing the perfect hotel for a romantic getaway in New York City can truly elevate your trip from great to unforgettable. Beyond just a place to sleep, the right accommodation sets the mood and provides a cozy haven after a day of exploring. Having experienced several stays myself, I've gathered some insights on how to make your couple's retreat extra special at these recommended spots, especially for those seeking a romantic escape. Let's dive deeper into making your stay at the Hilton Midtown a romantic one. While it might not advertise specific 'romantic amenities' like some boutique hotels, its prime location is an amenity in itself for couples. Imagine: you're just steps away from leisurely strolls through Central Park, enjoying a horse-drawn carriage ride, or catching a Broadway show for a classic date night. For a true romantic touch, consider booking a room on a higher floor with a city view. Waking up to the iconic NYC skyline with your partner is incredibly special. Many Hilton properties offer excellent room service, perfect for a quiet breakfast in bed. You can often find rooms here for around $250 - $300/night, making it a solid choice for couples wanting central access to all the romantic activities Midtown has to offer. If you're looking for a slightly different vibe, perhaps on a second visit or when you crave a more local feel, the Hyatt Place Chelsea is a fantastic option. This area offers a more intimate setting for couples, away from the intense tourist bustle but still vibrant. My favorite romantic activities here include exploring the art galleries in Chelsea hand-in-hand, finding a cozy bistro for an unhurried dinner, or indulging in a food adventure at Chelsea Market. You can often snag a room at Hyatt Place Chelsea for a more budget-friendly $120 - $225/night, which leaves more room in your budget for romantic dinners or experiences. It’s perfect for couples who enjoy discovering hidden gems and local culture together. For those ready to splurge on an ultimate romantic experience, The Dominick in SoHo is unparalleled. This hotel truly embodies luxury and impeccable service, making it one of the absolute best NYC Hotels for couples seeking an indulgent escape. From the moment you arrive, the staff makes you feel pampered. Their hotel bar is an ideal spot for sophisticated cocktails before heading to dinner, or you could simply enjoy the elegant ambiance together. Consider a room with a deep soaking tub for a relaxing evening, or try their exquisite restaurant for a memorable date night right on-site. The Dominick typically ranges from $450 - $650/night, and for that price, you're investing in an experience where every detail contributes to a luxurious and romantic atmosphere. Ultimately, whether you choose the bustling heart of Midtown, the charming streets of Chelsea, or the upscale elegance of SoHo, remember to personalize your romantic getaway. Look for hotels that offer packages with spa access, late checkout, or even just a beautiful view. A little planning goes a long way in ensuring your stay with your boo in NYC is everything you dreamed of.
